A new love – Moline, IL Wedding Photographer

So this past weekend I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a wedding.  Thank you to LeAnne and Dan for giving me this opportunity to awaken something new in myself which I feel is about to start me on an incredible journey.   Seeing into the hearts of others has made me realize that the love I have been searching for for half my lifetime in a career has been right inside me all along.

The day was a whirlwind.  My feet hurt, my head was spinning never wanting to blink my eyes in the case I would miss a ‘moment’.  But I loved every minute of it.  Every minute.  I wasn’t sure at the end of the day wedding photography was something I was ready to pour my heart and soul into until I came home to my computer to start sorting through my massive amount of images and saw this.  Unposed. Unrehearsed. Simple. Spiritual. Silent. In the right place at the right time beauty.  The bride and her two best friends saying prayer just moments before she stood up out of her chair to walk down the aisle.  It is with this picture I can feel it.  FEEL it.  The overwhelming sense of calm that surrounded this bride in a crowded room.  And as those hustled around her, as children sat eating their snacks and lunch, and as people entered and left the room; there was an aurora of peace that preceded the beautiful union that took place between two deeply spiritually connected people.  And it is with pictures like this, my heart is sold.  I MUST do this more.

Emily, Reading your blog comments is like reading amazing poetry. I think you not only have a talent for capturing beautiful moments and expressing them in photos but also for expressing thoughts and feelings in the beauty of words. The wedding photos you have posted are great. I can’t wait to see more. Blessings, Rosemary
